Meet Georgie
March 30, 2022 – June 6, 2025
George’s life was short, but his impact was endless. He lit up rooms, lifted hearts, and made people better just by being there.
He loved baking cookies with his mom, cruising in the car, game nights with family, and belly laughs at bath time. He adored Llama Llama, Curious George, and bears of every kind.
George’s joy was his superpower: pure, powerful, and contagious. The Be Cheechy Foundation carries that power forward, bringing his joy to others, one Cheech at a time.
George’s Story
Best enjoyed while listening to “Believe” by Caamp.
George’s genetics made him different, but his disability never defined him. He was joy: pure, radiant, and unstoppable.
His life is best told through the moments that captured that joy.
He was born our “squishy boy” in Akron, OH, on March 30. (330 Day!)
He was a momma's boy...
And he tolerated dad.
He was a happy boy.
A studious boy.
He loved to read.
And draw.
Our logo is a Georgie original.
He had a "chonky" stage
He loved Cookie Monster.
And, of course, Elmo.
He wasn't a big haircut guy...
But he loved his Jim.
He was a BIG Christmas boy.
And he loved Butch Bando's lights.
Thank you, A Kid Again!
He was sometimes a Grinch.
But it wouldn't last long.
He knew Santa pretty well.
He had a BRAVE sense of style.
He could be a tough guy.
Or a cool dude.
But he was a softie at heart.
Don't let that fool you...
He was ornery!
Who loved his drums.
And his piano.
Speaking of piano...
He was "Elton George" for Halloween.
And a Gladiator.
...and a bear.
Of course, it wasn't all play.
He worked out daily.
Even though he wasn't always happy.
He always worked hard.
A guy's guy, he loved Vols football,
Ashland wrestling (Go Sevi!),
And the Cowboys.
He loved hanging with his guys.
But he was a bit of a lightweight.
Most importantly.
Despite countless hospitalizations.
He was pure joy.
